Privacy Policy

Last updated June 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ED-Tech Solutions Inc. ("ED-Tech", "we", "us", or "our") — the company behind the Alba365 suite of software products ("Alba365" or the "Services") — collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you visit our websites, request a walkthrough, or use our products.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and to handling personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws in Canada. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically as you use the Services, and information we receive from third parties.

  • Information you provide: your name, business email, company, phone number, role, and any details you submit when you request a walkthrough, contact us, create an account, or communicate with our team.
  • Account and billing information: credentials, subscription and plan details, and billing contact information used to administer your account. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored on our own systems.
  • Customer content: data you and your users enter into the Services to run your business (for example, orders, properties, estimates, tickets, or device records). We process this on your behalf as described in your agreement with us.
  • Information collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar usage data gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Information from third parties: details from partners, resellers, or publicly available sources that help us provide and improve the Services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services;
  • Set up and administer your account, process orders, and handle billing;
  • Respond to your requests, provide support, and schedule walkthroughs;
  • Send service, security, and administrative messages, and — where permitted — relevant product updates;
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Consent and Legal Basis

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where otherwise permitted or required by law. Depending on the context, consent may be express or implied. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us — though doing so may limit our ability to provide certain Services.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: trusted vendors who host infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, or provide analytics on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect your information;
  • Within the Alba365 suite: across our products where you have enabled integrated functionality, to deliver a unified experience;
  • Resellers and partners: where you are served through an authorized Alba365 reseller, to administer your licenses and account;
  • Legal and compliance: where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ED-Tech, our customers, or others; and
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Customer Content and Data Processing

When you use the Services to run your business, you act as the controller of the personal information you process, and we act as your processor or service provider. We process customer content according to your instructions and the terms of your agreement, and we do not use it for our own purposes except to provide and improve the Services as permitted.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and loss — including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, audit logging, and tenant isolation. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual limits; and
  • Make a complaint to us or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@alba365.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. If your information was provided to us by an organization that uses Alba365 (for example, your employer or property manager), please direct your request to that organization.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences (such as light or dark theme), measure traffic, and improve your experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

10. International Transfers and Data Residency

ED-Tech is based in Canada and primarily stores and processes information in Canadian data centers. Where information is processed in another jurisdiction by us or our service providers, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, and we take steps to keep it protected consistent with this policy.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to individuals under the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact Us
